It was a hot summer’s evening on the twentieth day of June, 1995. In those dusk hours in a quiet little hospital in Hingham, Massachusetts, John McDonald was born. It wouldn’t be long until the young man learned how to read and write, and doing so inched him closer to his passions and dreams. In his later years, John would fill up his time creating short animated pictures. And since those days of old, John has been making animated films of various formats, styles and techniques, all with the unifying theme of humor.
Why did the chicken cross the road? Because it was fleeing the KFC. Why did the coyote cross the road? Because it was fleeing the Taco Bell. I don’t like to take life too seriously, I prefer to poke fun at whatever life throws at me. This is how I usually approach my art. While I take the process of making art seriously, the subjects that I cover tend to be mostly satirical and humorous. Despite this, I can break out from my routine style and deliver something outside of comedy.
