Director Statement

Thank you for your consideration of “One Actor Short.”

“One Actor Short” is an episodic film series that can be screened as individual films or as an episodic series. See the links below.

As a filmmaker and content creator, my creative mantra is to “entertain, uplift, and inspire.” During this time of world crisis, it seems to be needed now more than ever.

As an independent filmmaker, I think outside the box and treat filming as an experiment. With “One Actor Short” parts 1, 2, and 3, I have created a unique concept. And, I hope that your festival can help share it with audiences.

It is daring approach to guerrilla filmmaking and storytelling, where I step into public areas with my film crew and invite random strangers on the streets to star in a short film, which I direct and produce. The entire process is filmed, blending narrative, documentary, experimental, episodic, unscripted, and reality genres.

It is a directorial and acting challenge, as I direct and act alongside random strangers who join in the film, all while directing the crew.

I am the creator, director, and producer of narrative and documentary films, and a dozen web-series. Collaboration and creating opportunities for others are important concepts throughout. I focus on sharing different perspectives of narratives and representing social issues.

As an actor and tv host, most of my work is on network television, film, and theatre.
