The FEEDBACK Monthly Film Festival is back for 2019.. Our home is The Carlton Cinemas, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 20 Carlton Street. The event runs from 7pm to 9:10pm.

Continuing to showcase the best of short films from around the world, while maintaining our audience feedback format moderated by Matthew Toffolo. Showcasing a festival two times a month in Toronto in 2019!

Tickets for 2019 are PAY WHAT YOU LIKE.

If you like to obtain seats in advance and pick them up on the day of the event (come for FREE, or make a donation), please email us at submission@tvfestival.org and we’ll reserve seats for you.

You can always make a tiny donation to the festival to guarantee your seats on the next and skip the lines:

You can pick up the tickets on the day of the event at the cinema. Tickets are first come, first serve. This festival has sold out 76 out of its last 78 events!

You will be able to buy alcohol (beer, wine, liquor), popcorn, candy, and refreshments before the show.

FIRST ACT PROGRAM

NEMAUSUS, 5min., France, Web Series/Sci-Fi

Directed by Quentin Uriel

Ben just turned 30. He’s a shy man, and is in love with his coworker Diane. He’s got two main passions in life : Historical reconstitutions with his figurines club, and his job at the Tourism Office in Nîmes, which consists in taking visitors on board across the city.

The Coat Room is a comedic web series about a troubled woman in lingerie who traps herself in the coat room of a party, hoping to entice her one true love. Instead, she keeps running into guests (1 guest per episode) who just want to get their coats.

Directed by Kathy Kiany

Sahra who has just immigrated to Canada from Iran is trying to fit into a new culture. She is experiencing a series of challenges varying from grocery shopping to finding a job. These barriers have left her feeling lost and empty, and have made her questioning her identity and why she has immigrated in the first place. Her only friend in Canada is Paris who she knows from her school days back home. Paris comes from a wealthy family and has been living in Canada for the last 15 years. As Sahra’s challenges grow, Paris starts giving her advice that does not necessarily help or work for her. As Sahra is going through hard times, her teacher Dona, who she meets at English school, opens new windows to her life and helps her through her new journey.

RED CHEF REVIVAL, 22min., Canada, Web Series/Documentary

Black Rhino Creative’s Red Chef Revival is a 6 x 22 minute food and travel series exploring modern Indigenous cuisine through the lens of three chefs. New York Times featured, Cezin Nottaway. Top Chef finalist, Rich Francis and Iron Chef finalist Shane Chartrand. Using food as their access point, the chefs discover a new path to reconciliation. Red Chef Revival features ingredients you won’t find in any cookbooks like bison heart, beaver tail, moose nose and cougar. More than a cooking show, this is a people’s story on a plate.
