Director Biography – Davide Carlini (TRATAK 1 – ANTARS)

Born in the field of colors, paints, graphics and industrial design, passionate about photography (already at 12 years used darkroom for the development of bw photos and graphics for silkscreen printing frames..) and music (studying self-taught piano and keyboards, enthusiast of blues, jazz, electronic and experimental music) and cinema (among most beloved filmmakers; Fernando di Leo, Sergio Leone, Luciano Salce, Gabriele Salvatores, Luigi Comencini, Paolo Sorrentino, Daniele Ciprì, among the Italians, and, Tarkovsky, Brakhage, Coppola, Welles, Ford, Kubrick, Lynch, Scorsese, Carpenter, Tarantino, Landis, Allen, David Fincher, Malick, Nolan, Anderson, Kim Ki-duk, Coline Serreau, among the esters.)
He approaches the world of shooting and directing in 2010, attends video editing courses, advanced photography and post-production, then deepens in 2014/2015 with a Master in Cinematography Photography with the master director and cinematographer Daniele Ciprì with the Short Dorico Festival and participating as a student in the production of the short film “Luce sulla Cecità”.
In 2015 and 2016 he attended a film direction course at the OFFICINE MATTOLI School, participates as a stage photographer and production assistant for the production of the short film “Porrigrad” by the master Daniele Ciprì.
Passionate about technology, art, nature, astronomy, astrology, philosophy and esoteric cultures both Western and Eastern.
Between 2016 and 2018 he wrote and directed the medium-length film TRATAK composed of episodes presented as independent short films.
