This is a reading performed at the old National Film Board theatre in Janauary 2011. The event has drastically changed since then, so it’s fun and also a bit hard to watch. In 4 years the video has garnered over 24,000 views online with comments ranging from “Very cool” to “This is bull****”
It’s a medical drama, with a new angle. The lead character, Kyra, and her colleagues, work in a small psychiatry department in a busy general hospital. This means they get called to see a wide variety of clinical problems in every area of the hospital. The pilot begins with an urgent call to the transplant intensive care unit. A man has taken a tylenol overdose which has caused severe liver damage. He needs a transplant, but his problems with drugs, alcohol and mental health mean he’s a doubtful candidate. It’s decision time, and it’s Kyra’s call.
POUND FOR POUND is a drama television series about three teenage boxers in Los Angeles who train together and eventually compete in the 1924 Olympics.

SYNOPSIS:
Detective Amelia Faust is a wizard, the last wizard. It is her job to protect humanity from what is left of the supernatural. Abby is a young girl who can’t go home. She becomes Faust’s assistant. The two fight and defeat an ancient vampire, mummy queen and Faust decides to take Abby on as an apprentice.
